I took my daughter to my stylist for a eyebrow wax yesterday, and I could not figure out how much I was supposed to tip her. It always confuses me. I sat there and watched several people pay in this big salon, and nobody seemed to tip at all which I think is just plain cheap. Any idea’s?

i went to a hair stylist and she owns the salon with her husband. my mom and older sister said that i didn’t need to tip her. they said you only tip workers not the owners. but my 2 others sisters disagreed. who is right? i tiped her anyway cuz i was embarrassed. did i do the right thing?

are you a hair stylist - excluding tips, how much do you make an hour? What city do you work in? And how long did it take you to become one? and are you happy with your profession?

The whole process will take about 6+ HOURS of the stylist’s time. Long time, I know. So, should I tip $200 on a $1100 process? He is not my normal stylist, but is very good at what he does.

My stylist is not cheap. For a deep conditioning, color, and cut its 180. I tipped 20. was that enough?? Someone else does the dying and shampoo. He cuts, dries, and styles. And do I need to tip the other person as well? And how much? This was my first time at this pricey salon. Great work but expensive. I guess you get what you pay for

I’m kind of shy and awkward, so don’t really know how to tip my hair stylist properly.
Should I hand her the money right after she finished cutting my hair or should I put it in an envelope and give it to her? Or should I give it to the person at the front desk?

I took my little cousin to get her hair done….the stylist was very friendly made my cousin feel comfortable….she got a cut and her hair color ..white and black …looks pretty cool….it cost me about $145.00… I gave the stylist a $30.00 dollar tip….my friend who went with us said….I was crazy and I gave her to much…I thought it was to little…My question is ….Do you think a thirty dollar tip was to much or not enough…..
