Why are so many WOMEN disrespectful and condescending towards bigger women?
I’ve noticed a lot of condescending attitude towards bigger women - especially in the Beauty and Style section here on Answers. Sometimes, when a bigger woman asks a simple question about clothes (or just wants some fashion tips), people will give her somewhat rude answers that have nothing to with the question. They give her dieting tips and telling her to lose weight - even though she didn’t ask for it. I guess I just don’t understand the hostility…

Should the stylist be tipped if he is the owner?
My friend and I are in discussion over gratuity for the person who cuts our hair. We are both generous tippers, and we both go to the same person. Our stylists now has his own shop, and his prices are much more expensive. She says that it is not expected to tip the owner, but she does leave $20 behind just because. I on the other hand leave 18 to 20 percent (which is a lot on the total costs to get my hair done by him). She thinks that is crazy b/c he is the owner. I did find etiquette on that everyone who touches your hair should get a tip…. 15 to 20% for the person who did your hair plus $5 to $10 to each person who touched your hair… I also found etiquette advice that the owner should NOT be tipped. What is the general thoughts from this community on this topic? Should the owner at a salon (who is expensive in the first place) be tipped at all?

I’m 19 and I’m just wondering if there is such a site, I’ve looked but I can’t find one.
I’m just looking for inspiration but it seems to be a lot harder for guys than girls! 
I pay $135 to have hair colored and highlighted: How much should I tip my stylist?
I pay a fortune to have my hair done. She’s excellent at what she does, but I really do pay a lot. She works w/i a professional salon. How much should I be tipping her? What’s reasonable? I feel like I fork over way too much after spending $135.
I really can’t afford to have this done, but I make a budget for it b/c I have difficult hair. I’ve been tipping $12-14. It’s really all I’ve been able to afford. Gosh, I feel so cheap now. Is she insulted b/c I haven’t been handing over $25 each time???
Also, I live in Colorado… this ain’t no LA!!
