Mens fashion tips

Ok so the situation is that I’m in college now and I would really like to dress to impress. Not just for the girls but also I just want to look decent you know. So how do I dress up without being to dressy. I don’t want to look like I’m going to church LOL. Just want to look good. I wouldn’t mind hearing from the ladies on this one cause they usually know what they are talking about. Thank you.

Ok so I asked this question yesterday and got some awesome answers but there was one thing I didn’t point out when I asked it and it would probably change answers… I didn’t think of it until today. Ok what I didn’t point out is that I’m a bit chubby. Like not overly fat but chubby… I’m no A&F model and so it’s hard for me to pull off a look like that. So now I’m asking this the correct way. I would like to dress nice being in college now. I don’t want to look like I’m going to church but still kind of dressy. Not just for the ladies but also just because I think it would help my success in college and beyond. So any ideas would be awesome. Oh and also I really liked the suggestions that I got before because it made me see what I need to look at however it’s hard for a college student on a small budget to afford stuff like that. Anyways suggestions would be awesome. Thanx.

I’ve always had a penchant for wearing dark colored clothing, and since I usually dress conservatively, there’s nothing in my closet thats distinctive.

I don’t want people thinking that I’m wearing the same clothes all week (because all my outfits have the same colour scheme…blue, white and grey)

Since the cold season is coming up pretty soon I thought I could do with a little shopping. I tend to prefer dark clothing, but i don’t mind the odd brightly coloured top.
Got any fashion tips or advise? Any links to resources will also be appreciated ; )

women have a lot of that kind of stuff…whats the men’s equivelent?

Are there any sites out there that suggest tips for putting together outfits in the style of punk, emo, alternative, hipster etc? I’m hoping for more than just a retailer’s website of inventory. I need advice that I can use for future reference, not just an outfit to buy.
I go to H & M, small botiques, thrift stores, I see stuff I like but have trouble assembling a full outfit to it’s full potential.
