is it like a restaurant where I tip 20%. My mom told me 10% but I don’t trust her because she’s cheap.

I’m going to get my hair colored this Sat at a local salon. I live in a small city, if that has anything to do with it. I’ve never gotten my hair colored at a salon before. Either me or my mom have done it in the past. I know you generally leave 15-20% tips for servers at resturants. Is it the same for stylists as well?? Thanks!!
For women over 50 (or people who know +50 fashion)?
So my mom is asking for long-sleeve tops or lightweight sweaters that would look good with jeans for Christmas. I have no idea what is fashionable for her age or what would look good! I don’t want to get her something that makes her feel only younger people should wear it, or anything that makes her feel uncomfortable. So can you please give me some tips or ideas??
